Pakistan monsoon fury kills 279, Punjab province worst hit

Flood warnings were extended to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir territories such as Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, and Muzaffarabad. Mountain regions face heightened landslide risks due to persistent rainfall. Glacial melting may increase water levels in the Chitral River system. Local administrations received instructions to mobilize personnel and equipment.
