Pilibhit traders cheer GST cuts, car sales zoom, wallets fatter

Pilibhit hosted an awareness program for the Next Generation GST Reform Savings Festival with local traders and business owners attending. Sanjay Singh Gangwar served as chief guest while tax department officials participated in the educational event. Additional Commissioner Ashish Niranjan briefed attendees on recent GST changes and their advantages for businesses and consumers. The minister emphasized government efforts to streamline commerce and benefit citizens. Officials used the campaign to educate merchants about new reform procedures that will strengthen economic growth.

Market activity has surged following GST rate reductions across grocery and automotive sectors. Car and tractor purchases have risen substantially since implementation began September 22. Government projections indicate households will save 13 percent on grocery expenses and small car buyers will save approximately Rs 70,000. Stationery, clothing, footwear and medicine purchases will generate savings between 7 and 12 percent. Health and life insurance policies will provide 18 percent savings after receiving GST exemptions.
