Dr. Gwen Ramokgopa, Treasurer-General of the African National Congress (ANC), made this remark after meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House in Harare. During her visit, Dr. Ramokgopa emphasized the deep historical ties between the two nations, forged during their shared struggle for freedom, and noted that they continue to exchange ideas at government and party levels.
While acknowledging the development challenges both countries face, Dr. Ramokgopa highlighted Zimbabwe’s progress, particularly in infrastructure development, which she observed during her flight over the Limpopo River.
