Ringim Responds to Lamido's Claims in New Autobiography

A top politician from Nigeria's NNPP party has fired back at claims made in a former governor's new book. Aminu Ibrahim Ringim spoke out during a party meeting in Taura Local Government Area on Wednesday. He challenged statements written by Sule Lamido in his autobiography called Being True to Myself. The book covers Nigerian politics from the Second Republic through military rule up to the Fourth Republic.

Ringim accused Lamido of twisting facts and lying about his political past. He said the former Jigawa State governor painted himself as perfect and trustworthy throughout his career. This version of events does not match reality according to Ringim. The NNPP leader claimed many statements in the book needed fixing because they were false.

The book blamed former President Goodluck Jonathan for arresting several people unfairly. Lamido also wrote that his PDP party lost the 2015 governor race because Ringim was mean and spiteful. Ringim pushed back hard against these claims. He said Lamido knew exactly why PDP really lost that election despite being strong in the state.

Ringim ended with a warning about revealing embarrassing secrets. He threatened to expose personal details that would shame Lamido publicly if the attacks continued. The political feud shows deep divisions between former allies in Nigerian politics.
