Ruto and Raila Attend Third National Executive Retreat in Kajiado

President William Ruto and opposition leader Raila Odinga showed up together Friday for the third National Executive Retreat at KCB Leadership Center in Kajiado County. The government planned this three-day meeting during a tough time when people criticized the Kenya Kwanza administration for human rights problems. Ruto has held three of these retreats since becoming president back in 2022.

Government officials used the retreat to check their work and decide what direction to take next. They talked about six main goals like making life cheaper, ending hunger, creating jobs, getting more tax money, fixing foreign money problems, and helping everyone grow together. The leaders want to reach these goals through five important areas.

These areas cover farming, healthcare, small businesses, technology and creative work, and building homes. Top government officials attended the meeting at the Karen location. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen talked with Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi during sessions. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki also joined talks with other senior officials at the center.
