Ruto jets to DC for DRC peace deal, Eyes US investment

Ruto is heading to Washington because Trump invited him to watch the DRC and Rwanda finally sign a peace deal that might actually end the mess in Eastern Congo. He's meeting up with Kagame and Tshisekedi for the ceremony, and this agreement builds off earlier peace talks from Nairobi and Luanda. The whole thing is supposed to open up routes for getting weapons out of there, bringing in aid workers, and maybe keeping things stable long-term.

While he's over there, Ruto is also locking down a new health partnership with the US that shifts their 25-year medical cooperation into something Kenya can run itself by 2030. He's pitching investors on infrastructure projects, farming upgrades, and energy deals because Kenya wants to level up its economy. The trip is basically Ruto flexing Kenya's role as a regional peacemaker while trying to score development cash from American partners.
