SF6 Blasts Past 5M Copies Worldwide

Capcom celebrates Street Fighter 6 reaching five million copies sold after two years on the market. The company announced the milestone through the game's official social media account during the second anniversary week. Street Fighter 6 launched on June 2, 2023 and continues performing well for the fighting game developer. Capcom thanked fans around the world and welcomed future players to the franchise. The achievement marks another success story for the Japanese video game publisher.

Street Fighter 6 could become the best selling game in the entire series history. Street Fighter 5 currently holds the top position with over seven million copies sold since 2016. The latest entry needs just two million more sales to claim the record from its predecessor. Capcom expects Street Fighter 6 might reach this goal during its third anniversary celebration. The company has seen strong performance across multiple game franchises during recent years.

Four new fighters will join Street Fighter 6 between summer 2025 and spring 2026. Sagat arrives first during summer months as the opening character for Year 3 content. C Viper follows during fall 2025 as the second addition to the roster. Alex joins early spring 2026 with Ingrid completing the lineup during late spring.
