Summer buses are rolling again in St Petersburg

St. Petersburg started running seasonal summer buses today as winter routes ended their service. The city Transport Committee announced five bus routes switched to summer schedules: 406, 555, 469, 475, and 485.

Routes 2KR and 3KR began operating earlier this week on April 15. Winter bus routes 469A and 475A stopped running completely until November 18, when they returned to city streets.

The Transport Organizer office also warned riders about changes due to road repairs on Moskovsky Prospekt. Several routes face temporary adjustments during the construction period.

Bus routes 12, 95, 159, 225, and trolleybus route 5 will operate differently starting April 19 through the end of service on April 20. These changes affect only ground transportation in those specific areas.

Riders should check updated schedules before traveling these routes during the maintenance period. The seasonal changes happen annually as the city adjusts public transportation needs between cold and warm weather months.
