Police caught a suspected robber who had military clothing and weapons at his home. Officers arrested 29-year-old Zephaniah Alfred from Zangun village after someone reported death threats. The man lived in Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State. Police found army uniforms and a homemade gun during their search. Alfred had been wanted for robberies along the Numan-Gombe Road for months.
Ibrahim Maikano told police that Alfred threatened to kill him. Officers from Numan Divisional Police Headquarters tracked down the suspect after receiving the complaint. They discovered one locally made pistol and two bullets for AK-47 rifles. The search also turned up four army caps and two camouflage shirts.
