Tanzania welcomes 152,000 tourists, Ngorongoro steals the show

Tanzania logged over 152,000 visitors in just the first three weeks of the month, and Tourism Minister Ashatu Kijaji showed up at Ngorongoro Conservation Area to chat with international guests passing through the crater gate. The minister told travelers that security across the country's attractions is solid, and she pushed them to keep checking out the wildlife sites while reassuring everyone that operations are running smoothly.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area sits in the northern part of the country and handles protection for the massive volcanic crater, plus the Big Five animals like elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos. The government-run authority manages the whole zone while trying to turn it into the planet's top tourism spot for future vacations.
