Taskin and Parvez inspire Bangladesh's demolition of Pakistan

Bangladesh secured a commanding seven-wicket victory over Pakistan during the opening Twenty20 International at Dhaka. The hosts bowled out their opponents for 110 runs, marking Pakistan's lowest total against Bangladesh in this format. Taskin Ahmed claimed three wickets for 22 runs while Mustafizur Rahman delivered exceptional figures of two wickets for six runs. Pakistan collapsed from an early position of strength as half their batting lineup fell for just 46 runs. Fakhar Zaman led Pakistan's resistance with 44 runs before the team folded in 19.3 overs.

Parvez Hossain anchored Bangladesh's chase with an unbeaten 56 runs from 39 deliveries. His innings featured five sixes and three boundaries as Bangladesh reached their target in 15.3 overs. Towhid Hridoy contributed 36 runs in a crucial third-wicket partnership worth 73 runs. The victory gives Bangladesh a 1-0 advantage in the three-match series. The remaining fixtures will take place on Tuesday and Thursday at the same venue.
