Tatmadaw restores control in Kyaukme, Shan State, aids residents

Tatmadaw, in collaboration with residents, has carried out counter-terrorism operations to restore peace and stability in Kyaukme Township, Shan State (North). As a result, the area is now under full control, with efforts focused on maintaining public security, reopening government offices, resuming school activities, and providing healthcare services.

On October 7, student enrollment began at No 1 Basic Education High School in Kyaukme, with 206 students registered. The Ministry of Education provided free textbooks and supplies, and departmental officials assisted with the arrangements.

To support staff, the Shan State government donated essential food items, which were distributed by responsible officials. A temporary clinic was also opened on October 5 at the Kyaukme Chinese communal temple, where 169 residents have received healthcare services.

Security forces continue to ensure stability and promote long-term development in the region.
