Three killed in Tamale–Buipe highway collision

A highway collision between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle has claimed three lives while leaving multiple people in critical condition at Central Gonja District Hospital. The crash occurred at Lingbinkura along the Tamale-Buipe corridor when a Honda motorbike carrying two occupants attempted to overtake an articulator truck without verifying approaching traffic.

The motorcycle struck a Toyota Sienta transporting six passengers from Techiman toward Tamale. Emergency personnel pronounced two male adults and one female adult dead at the location before moving survivors to medical facilities. Hospital staff are retaining the bodies pending identification and autopsy procedures.

Authorities identified the vehicle operator as Adongo Ibrahim, while the motorcycle rider and passenger remain unidentified. The Sienta bore registration number GR 5683-23, and the motorbike was tagged M-25-NR 5918.
