Waiguru stakes UDA claim in Kirinyaga ahead of 2027

Kirinyaga’s governor is demanding absolute loyalty while crushing internal dissenters during the party polls. Anne Waiguru ordered United Democratic Alliance members to show up for grassroots voting to secure delegates for the national stage. She insists this process determines who controls the political machine ahead of the 2027 cycle. The county boss claims her faction is organized enough to dominate rivals who allegedly lack real influence on the ground.

Waiguru declared herself the supreme head of the local chapter and dismissed challengers operating from the shadows. She blasted Rigathi Gachagua for telling locals to ditch the government without having a backup plan. The politician argued that the region must support William Ruto for a second term to protect their heavy investment in his administration.

She pivoted to bragging about rolling out dozens of fresh water initiatives meant to serve thousands of residents. These upgrades involve drilling solar-powered boreholes and fixing pipelines across twenty wards. Waiguru stated that access to safe resources improves school attendance, while Principal Charles Weru confirmed that infections dropped at Kamucege Primary School after they installed a new pump.
