Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Varanasi on Friday evening before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled constituency visit. The chief minister conducted worship ceremonies at both Kaal Bhairav and Kashi Vishwanath temples during his third visit this Sawan month. Temple priests and devotees greeted him with traditional chants while he performed religious rituals at these sacred Shaiva sites. Adityanath plans to remain in the holy city overnight while supervising arrangements for the prime minister's Saturday program. He will welcome Modi at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport the following morning.
Modi will launch multiple development initiatives valued at approximately Rs 2,200 crore across infrastructure, healthcare, education, tourism, urban development, and cultural heritage sectors. The prime minister will simultaneously distribute the twentieth PM-KISAN installment, transferring Rs 20,500 crore directly to more than 9.7 crore farmers nationwide. This constituency visit forms part of Modi's broader outreach strategy ahead of upcoming Bihar and Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Officials confirm that Adityanath will personally review all event preparations and security protocols. The visit emphasizes continued development investments in Modi's parliamentary constituency.
