ZANU-PF Backs Mnangagwa's Presidency Until 2030

President Emmerson Mnangagwa's ruling Zanu PF party is up to something big. They're holding meetings all over the country. They want people to support their plan to keep Mnangagwa in office until 2030. That's a long time!

These meetings aren't just about getting support, though. They're also about finding out who's against the idea. That could cause some real trouble in the party.

Mnangagwa's term is supposed to end in 2028. But some people close to the situation say he's secretly backing this campaign. His loyal supporters, like Owen Ncube and Daniel Garwe, are pushing for it.

Not everyone is happy about this, though. Some people in the party who support Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga don't like the idea. They think Chiwenga should be the next president.

Mnangagwa has said he'll step down in 2028 like he's supposed to. He says he follows the rules. But who knows what'll happen?

Last weekend, Zanu PF leaders held a bunch of meetings. They all had the same message. It looks like they're working together on this plan.
