Malawi authorities detained two more individuals connected to a violent criminal organization that terrorized Lilongwe and nearby regions, raising the suspect count to 17. Officers apprehended Lastorn Malizani, 38, from Mangulama Village under Traditional Authority Mkalo in Chiradzulu, along with Felix Makenga, 28, from Kainja Village under Traditional Authority Tsabango in Lilongwe, during operations on Monday, November 3, 2025.
The pair joins 15 previously arrested members of the Zikwanje gang. Authorities identified Bruno Munlo Makina, 37, as the alleged leader. He and several associates have already faced court proceedings.
