Zimbabwe Back in England for Epic Test Throwdown

Zimbabwe cricketers trained in Leicester on Monday after landing in England. The team is preparing for its first Test match on English ground in more than 20 years. It will face England at Trent Bridge in Nottingham starting May 22. Head Coach Justin Sammons noticed high spirits among players despite the long travel from Harare. The group took Sunday off to recover before hitting the nets.

Players feel excited about playing in one of cricket's famous settings. Zimbabwe comes fresh from a tied series against Bangladesh. Their England visit offers a chance to measure progress against one of the top teams. The squad begins with a practice game against First-Class Counties XI from May 15 to 18. This four-day match helps the team adjust to English conditions.

Coach Sammons believes his team will arrive ready for the main Test. The full preparation spans ten days before the Nottingham match. Zimbabwe will also battle South Africa in a four-day game starting June 3 at Arundel. This match serves as important practice for South Africa ahead of their championship final. South Africa meets Australia at Lord's Cricket Ground on June 11.
