Zimbabwe's Elite Backstab Mnangagwa In Secret Power Grab

Zimbabwe faces political unrest as more people stand against President Mnangagwa. Critics say he lacks true power since taking over in 2017. The fight comes from opposition groups, regular citizens, and even members of his party, ZANU PF.

Political expert Blessed Geza calls this a long battle meant to weaken the president. Civil groups and democracy supporters want more honest elections and better government. The main opposition party, Citizens Coalition for Change, says the military has too much control, and human rights suffer under Mnangagwa.

Talk suggests ZANU PF has internal problems too. Some party leaders disagree with the president about who should take over next and how to fix the economy. Money troubles - high prices, unstable currency, and few jobs - make regular people angry. When they protest, security forces often shut them down harshly.

Experts worry things might get worse as the 2028 elections grow closer. Despite all this pressure, President Mnangagwa stands firm. He calls his critics troublemakers and claims Zimbabwe is getting better under his watch. Most Zimbabweans feel stuck between bad leaders and a broken economy, unsure of what comes next.
