Ample Sound's Ample China Traditional Percussion

Ample Sound has released Ample China Traditional Percussion. You get a Chinese percussion group with many instruments. It covers sounds from low to high, including drums, wood, and brass instruments. There are 19 types of instruments and 49 total percussion instruments. These include drum groups, single drums, gongs, cymbals, opera percussion, and vocals. Each instrument has different play methods, speed layers, and sample cycles.

Ample China Traditional Percussion sampling​

The ACTP has 19 kinds of percussion instruments and 49 different sounds, using 15 GB of samples. You can play the drums in many ways, like hitting the center or rim, muting with hands or sticks, slapping, or rolling, with up to 13 styles for each drum. They recorded the drum sets with 11 microphones from different angles to get rich sounds, and even small things like wood blocks were captured using multiple mics. Plus, other percussion instruments also have various ways to be played, making the whole collection versatile and detailed.
