Bakau Group Donates D40K Cleaning Supplies to Health Centre

The Bakau Development Committee, led by Alhagie Badara Y Jallow, gave the local health center a big helping hand last Thursday. They donated cleaning supplies worth over D40,000, including everything from detergents and disinfectants to hand sanitizers, mops, and buckets. Their donation aims to make the health center safer for both patients and medical staff by improving cleanliness throughout the facility.

The BDC already works hard on many community projects, such as fixing roads, cleaning up neighborhoods, and creating opportunities for young people. This health center support fits right into their bigger mission of making Bakau better through teamwork and resource sharing. The committee strongly believes that everyone should pitch in to help important community services run smoothly and effectively.

Chairman Jallow talked about how clean healthcare spaces matter tremendously. He explained that keeping things sanitized protects both sick people and healthcare workers from catching infections. The committee hopes these supplies will boost the quality of medical care at the center. Jallow asked the health center staff to use everything carefully and make sure all patients benefit from the improved conditions.

Nuha Touray handles money for the committee and mentioned the effort it took to gather these resources. On the receiving end, Isatou Bah runs the Bakau Health Centre and felt very thankful for the timely help. She mentioned ongoing struggles with keeping the facility clean because of limited budgets. These new cleaning supplies will help the health center stay sanitized and safe during challenging times when resources remain scarce.
