Balaam Kabaasa found dead in Kabale home

A young man died suddenly at his family home during a political campaign. Balaam Inshuti Kabaasa was just 24 years old and studying at Makerere University. He had traveled to help his father Bruce Balaba Kabaasa run for parliament. The family found him dead in bed one morning. His father wants to represent Rubanda West district.

Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa visited the grieving family on Monday. Many important government people came to comfort them. State Minister Henry Musasizi and other politicians joined hundreds of local people. They all wanted to support the family during this sad time. The leaders remembered the young man as bright and helpful.

Bruce Balaba Kabaasa told everyone what happened that terrible morning. His son had worked hard the day before checking on farm tools. The next day he was supposed to attend three different events. A driver went to wake him up but found him cold. The family doctor confirmed he had passed away.

The father called his son a brother and friend to everyone. He said the young man was happy and connected well with people. Doctors will study the body to learn what caused his death. The family expects answers within one week. Politicians asked people to stay calm during campaign season.

The funeral will happen on Wednesday at the family land. Balaam Nshuti Kabaasa will rest at their home in Kacerere area. Local leaders warned against spreading rumors about the death. They want peaceful elections without fighting or lies.
