Battlefield 6 Battle Royale test leaks as fans say it copies Warzone

YouTube user Tomski released a 15-minute gameplay video from Battlefield 6 Battle Royale testing that began last week on the BF Labs platform. Players have compared the mode unfavorably to Call of Duty's Warzone based on initial footage. The experience may improve once gamers actually participate in matches rather than just watching videos.

Destruction mechanics define this new battle royale experience, continuing the franchise tradition established since Bad Company in 2008. Squad-based gameplay remains central to the Battlefield formula. Teams select character classes before each match begins and cannot change roles during combat. Players start with two class-specific gadgets and advance through experience gained by eliminating opponents or completing objectives.

The shrinking circle instantly kills players upon contact rather than dealing gradual damage like other battle royale games. Random squad missions provide powerful rewards through airdrops that opposing teams can steal. Release timing remains unconfirmed as developers await testing feedback before launching the mode after the main game's October 10 debut.
