Gambia ADD Party Swears Off Barrow Third Term

Malick Camara leads the Alliance for Democracy and Development party and wants to become president. The party leader talked about his plans during a Saturday interview at his Brufut home. Camara studied management and human resources at local schools before starting law studies at University of The Gambia. The Farafenni native says his party will fix agriculture, fight corruption, and create jobs for young people. Citizens told him these problems hurt the country during community meetings across The Gambia.

Camara believes modern farming methods will stop food waste and make money for farmers. Better agriculture could prevent youth from leaving the country illegally to find work overseas. Climate-smart farming brings lots of money to other African nations around the world. His government plans to use these same techniques to help Gambian farmers grow more crops. Rural communities need new tools and training to increase their harvest amounts each season.

The ADD leader refuses to work with President Barrow if offered government positions after elections. His party will never support Barrow running for a third presidential term next year. Camara started his political party to replace the current president rather than join his administration. He wants voters to choose leaders who put the country first during election time. Only smart voting can save The Gambia from its current problems.
