Goat Theft Uncovers Hidden SMG in Nwoya

Nwoya District police found a sub-machine gun that criminals used across local areas during recent operations. Officers acted after community members reported seeing suspicious activity around Paminyai Subcounty. Residents from Nyamukino and Gotapwoyo villages spotted a white vehicle carrying eleven stolen goats. The car had registration number UAP 032E and drove through their neighborhoods during daylight hours. Local people stopped the vehicle and called law enforcement officers immediately.

Police arrested Omony Dicken who drove the suspected stolen livestock through rural communities. The 28-year-old broker lives at Pece-Laroo Division within Gulu City limits. Officers questioned Dicken about his activities and the stolen animals he transported. He told police where criminals hid the weapon near electrical equipment. The suspect led authorities to Purongo Subcounty where they discovered the firearm.

Police recovered the sub-machine gun without any bullets or ammunition attached. Officers search for other people connected to the livestock theft and weapon storage. Community cooperation helped police solve this case quickly and safely. Authorities praised residents for watching their neighborhoods and reporting crimes. Investigations continue as police track down additional suspects involved.
