Leaders Honor Late President Geingob at Heroes' Acre.
Former First Lady Monica Geingos joined President Nangolo Mbumba and President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah to lay wreaths at President Hage Geingob's grave Tuesday.
The ceremony marked one year since Geingob died of cancer on February 4, 2023. National Assembly Speaker Peter Katjavivi and Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila attended the memorial at Heroes Acre.
Family members and friends gathered at the mausoleum for the first part of the day's events. The commemoration will continue at the State House with formal statements from leaders.
