Kalonzo wants prayers to unite the opposition

Kalonzo Musyoka has asked Kenyans to offer prayers for the opposition. During his Saturday speech in Limuru, the Wiper leader claimed our nation is traveling down a bad path. He stressed that prayer remains the only thing capable of rescuing Kenya from its current troubles. The loyal opposition serves the people but needs divine guidance to help steer the country right.

The former vice president talked about current efforts to bring all Kenyans together regardless of background. He appeared sure that joining forces with ex-deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and former President Uhuru Kenyatta would create an unbeatable team. According to Musyoka, this powerful alliance could transform Kenya completely. He pointed to his previous partnership with President Mwai Kibaki after the 2007 elections as proof that this approach works.

Musyoka asked people to remember how that past unity deal strengthened Kenya. He promised an even better result from the partnership he hopes to build with Gachagua and Kenyatta. Those leaders together could make the country stronger than ever before, in his view. Musyoka mentioned ongoing discussions happening with leaders from various communities to build broad support.

The Wiper boss firmly rejected any talk about joining the broad-based government created by President William Ruto and Raila Odinga. That deal let several opposition members from ODM accept cabinet jobs in the Kenya Kwanza administration. President Ruto just expanded his government further by creating seven new state departments. Musyoka stands firm with other Azimio coalition partners who refuse these government posts. They continue meeting potential allies as they prepare to form the next Kenyan government instead.
