Kebbi governor condemns student abduction off FUBK campus

A shocking incident unfolded at Istijaba Villa near the Federal University Birnin Kebbi when unidentified armed attackers snatched a fourth-year student named Augustine Madubiya during the early morning hours. The violent episode tragically escalated with the murder of resident Malam Siddi Hussaini, who courageously attempted to prevent the student's kidnapping.

Governor Nasir Idris immediately responded to the alarming situation, condemning the brazen abduction. Through a statement released, administrative officials detailed the state government's rapid intervention strategies. Security officials from the governor's cabinet emphasized the kidnapping occurred outside the university campus at a privately managed student housing location.

The governor swiftly instructed state security apparatus, including police and Department of State Services, to work alongside university administrators for securing the students' safe return. Governor Idris expressed deep sympathy toward the bereaved family of the deceased resident and extended condolences to both the local Unguwar Jeji community and the university community.
