KTMB adds ETS trains for holidays

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad is introducing four additional Electric Train Service trips for the upcoming holiday season, providing 22,680 more tickets. The national rail operator announced that these special services would run from mid-December to mid-January on the Padang Besar to KL Sentral and Butterworth to KL Sentral routes.

Two extra daily trains will operate on the Padang Besar route, while two more will run on weekends for the Butterworth sector. The company stated that this initiative aims to accommodate high passenger demand after regular service tickets were fully sold. Ticket sales for the additional services will commence tomorrow morning.

KTMB encouraged travelers to plan their journeys and book tickets early to secure more affordable fares. Passengers were also advised to arrive at stations thirty minutes before their scheduled departure, as boarding gates close five minutes before the train's departure.
