Man Charged With Murder of Housemate in Sungai Buloh Incident

A deadly roommate dispute landed a middle-aged man behind bars at Shah Alam court yesterday. Faisal Abdul Aziz stood before Magistrate Mohamad Redza Azhar Rezali and heard murder charges read against him. The 41-year-old suspect nodded when officials told him about the serious accusations. Court staff did not ask him to enter a plea because murder cases must go to High Court. The legal process moves forward without his lawyer present.

Police say Faisal killed his roommate Muhammad Fakhrullah Pauzihal Ali last month. The victim was 33 years old and lived at the same house as the accused man. The deadly attack happened at their shared home on Kampung Kubu Gajah street near Sungai Buloh. Officers responded to the scene at 11:26 PM on June 25. The two men had been living together before the fatal incident.

Malaysian law treats murder charges very seriously under Section 302 of the Penal Code. Judges can sentence convicted killers to death or lock them up for 30 to 40 years. The punishment also comes with at least 12 painful cane strokes. Deputy Public Prosecutor Alia Anisa Khairus Masnan will handle the case for the government. The court scheduled the next hearing for October 10 when officials will present the chemist's report.
