Min Aung Hlaing bags nukes and new bros in Moscow

Myanmar's military leader, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, returned from official visits to Russia and Kazakhstan, where he attended the World Atomic Week Forum and met with Presidents Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The trips focused on nuclear energy cooperation, technology exchanges, and strengthening bilateral relations, with Myanmar signing agreements with Russia's atomic energy agency ROSATOM for peaceful nuclear power development. Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun emphasized that nuclear energy would provide stable electricity and support medical and agricultural research in Myanmar.

The military government announced plans to build a small nuclear power plant after completing site selection. During a stopover in Kunming, Chinese officials reaffirmed support for Myanmar's peace process and border stability while pledging cooperation on the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor. Russia recognized Myanmar as a reliable Southeast Asian partner, while Kazakhstan welcomed its first visit from a Myanmar head of state. All three nations expressed support for Myanmar's planned multiparty democratic elections.
