Party Plans to Keep Mnangagwa in Charge till 2030

Zanu PF Legal Affairs staff works to make Resolution Number One happen. They want President Mnangagwa to stay until 2030. Patrick Chinamasa shared this news yesterday at the Manicaland meeting in Mutare. He plans to talk with important groups like the Politburo and Central Committee about what comes next.

The team needs official approval before they tell the Government to change the Constitution through Parliament. Chinamasa explained that they want Mnangagwa to keep leading because he helps the country grow. They believe he should finish all his development projects. Their plan asks Mnangagwa to accept what the people want—his staying as leader until 2030.

Chinamasa thinks everyone must speak together with one voice. This unity helps their case. The party asked him as Legal Affairs Secretary to carry out this resolution. He must check with many people about the best way to change the national Constitution. After clear talks with the Politburo and Central Committee, they might ask the Government to make these changes through Parliament.

Whether President Mnangagwa says yes or no remains his choice alone. If lawmakers pass the resolution and change the Constitution, he decides what happens next. Chinamasa said party members will not join that decision process. He doubts Mnangagwa will ask for their advice but feels lucky if he does. He told party members to stay disciplined and avoid bad social media posts about leaders.

The National Disciplinary Committee recently kicked out several members. Chinamasa serves as secretary under chairperson Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri. He wishes they could keep everyone but had no choice because of bad behavior. The rules demand complete loyalty to Zanu PF and President Mnangagwa. Anyone who insults or disrespects the President faces removal from the party.

Chinamasa stressed how rules create order within Zanu PF. Without clear guidelines, everything falls apart, hurting both the party and Zimbabwe. He dismissed talk about protests planned for March 30 and promised people could go about daily life without worry because police would protect everyone completely.
