Phyno (Chibuzor Azubuike), a popular rapper and singer, has just released his fifth LP album, Full Time Job. This album follows his earlier ones, like Something To Live For (2021), Deal With It (2019), The Playmaker (2016), and his first album, No Guts No Glory (2014).
Before dropping the album, Phyno gave fans a taste with the song Time of My Life, featuring British rapper ArrDee. In Full Time Job, Phyno fully takes on his role as a "cultural leader," combining Nigerian sounds with styles from around the world.
The album has 15 songs and collaborations with artists like Cheque, Fave, Burna Boy, Johnny Drille, Chip, ArDee, and UK group NSG. Phyno blends his Igbo language with modern music, going from the choir-like "Nwoke Esike" to the highlife sound of "Men Don Show Face," and even the amapiano vibe of "Back Outside." He also explores rhythm and blues in "Deep" and brings a soulful, folksy feel with "Sweet Karma."
