Two individuals face charges after authorities in the Eastern North Region discovered a substantial quantity of suspected cannabis during a roadside inspection. Officers from a snap check team stopped a KIA Bongo truck operated by Yaw Ntoso at Amankwakrom along the Agordeke–Donkorkrom road, leading to the arrest of both Ntoso and passenger Perpetual Ayitey.
A comprehensive vehicle search uncovered three white sacks holding 135 compressed slabs of dried leaves wrapped in yellow cellotape, along with 21 oval-shaped parcels of similar material believed to be cannabis sativa. Police have detained both suspects while continuing their investigation before court proceedings begin.
