Kenya Power says electricity will go off in several parts of seven counties this Thursday. The outages will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and affect areas in Nairobi, Kajiado, Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Meru, Kiambu, and Mombasa counties.
Nairobi residents on General Mathenge Drive, Mpaka Road, parts of 2nd and 3rd Parklands, Eldama Ravine, Suswa Road, Kusi Lane, and nearby areas should prepare for the blackout. People living in St. Patrick, Mwalimu Road, Oleteyani, and other parts of Kajiado County will also face power interruptions. The cuts will hit Mbingwa, Ivigwa, Sango, Likuyani, Frank, and Lugulu in Uasin Gishu County.
Kakamega County will see outages at Butere Market, Shashiala Market, Maondo, Khomailo, Mapole, Eshishiebo Market, and Emanyulia Market. Many areas of Meru County, including Nkoune, Mwiriene Primary, Meru Teachers College, and numerous surrounding locations, will experience blackouts. Numerous places in Kiambu County, like Magajo Primary, Farainya St. Paul Gatuanyaga, and Fresha Dairies, will lose power.
Mombasa County residents living in Husein Dairy, Kimbunga, Marimani, Voroni, Mwakirunge Dumpsite, and neighboring areas should also expect no electricity during the scheduled maintenance period.
