Sam Quek Riles Up Old Trafford With Liverpool Anthem at Soccer Aid

Sam Quek walked onto the Old Trafford pitch during Soccer Aid and played You'll Never Walk Alone as her entrance music. The Liverpool fan and Olympic athlete knew exactly what she was doing at the Manchester United home ground. Fans booed loudly when they heard the famous Liverpool anthem echo around the stadium. Quek raised six fingers toward the crowd and smiled at their angry reaction. She came on as a substitute for England during the charity match against the World XI.

Soccer Aid raised over 15 million pounds for UNICEF during the annual celebrity football game. The World XI beat England 5-4 after coming back from being down 4-2 late in the match. Liverpool supporters loved watching Quek wind up the Manchester United fans at their home stadium. The rivalry between the two clubs runs deep even during charity events. Quek seized her moment perfectly and made the most of playing at Old Trafford.

Liverpool fans on social media praised Quek for her bold move during the charity match. The Reds will visit Old Trafford again next season after winning the Premier League title. Manchester United finished 15th without any trophies during their disappointing campaign. Fixtures for the new season come out Wednesday morning. The Old Trafford trip will be one of the first games Liverpool fans mark on their calendars.
