Steinberg just dropped Cubase 14, the newest version of its music production suite. It's packed with cool updates, like six new modulator devices, a brand-new Drum Track type, an improved MixConsole, and a revamped Score Editor.
The new Drum Track type is a one-stop shop for crafting complex drum patterns. It includes a fresh Drum Machine, a hybrid drum sampler and percussion synthesizer, and a Pattern Editor for beat programming.
You can now pop open the full MixConsole in the Lower Zone of the Project window, which lets you rearrange channels by dragging and dropping. They've also upgraded the event volume curve editing, so you can fine-tune your audio with draw tools.
Cubase 14 also brings some cool new effects like Shimmer, a reverb plug-in; StudioDelay, a user-friendly delay with built-in effects; Autofilter, a filter that modulates its cutoff frequency; and Underwater, a signal processor perfect for creating atmosphere and space.
