Sudani's phone melts calling Barzanis, Talabani

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani contacted four Kurdish leaders Saturday regarding the oil export agreement. He thanked Kurdistan Democratic Party President Masoud Barzani, Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Patriotic Union Leader Bafel Talabani. The officials helped restart petroleum shipments from northern Iraq. Al-Sudani praised their commitment to directing regional revenues through Baghdad's treasury.

The leaders discussed federal-regional cooperation and economic development initiatives. Both sides agreed to support investment projects and fair resource distribution. They examined the Development Road project connecting Iraq to international markets. Officials emphasized constitutional compliance in future agreements.

Oil exports resumed Saturday morning after a 30-month suspension. The deal allows 190,000 barrels daily for international sales and 50,000 for domestic use. Iraq's state company SOMO will manage all global petroleum transactions. This arrangement ends the longest pipeline closure in recent history.
