Touhid asks OIC to back Bangladeshs democratic shift

Bangladesh's top diplomat spoke at a major Muslim nations meeting in Istanbul over the weekend. Touhid Hossain told leaders from Islamic countries that his government wants to fix problems and build trust with people. He said Bangladesh faces a historic change under Nobel winner Muhammad Yunus. The country needs support from other Muslim nations during this important time. He asked these countries to work together for a better future.

Hossain talked about serious troubles hitting Muslim communities around the world. He mentioned the terrible situation in Gaza where many people suffer from violence. The diplomat also brought up attacks against Iran that his country strongly opposes. He called these strikes against international law and dangerous for world peace. Bangladesh wants immediate action to stop the fighting and protect innocent lives.

The meeting focused heavily on the Rohingya refugee crisis that affects Bangladesh directly. Over one million Rohingya people fled to Bangladesh after facing violence in Myanmar eight years ago. Hossain said his country cannot handle this burden alone anymore and needs help from other nations. He wants Myanmar to take back these refugees safely and with dignity. The diplomat asked for more money and support to solve this growing problem.

Climate change also came up during the talks as a major worry for Bangladesh. Hossain suggested that Muslim countries should create programs to fight environmental damage together. He wants these nations to share technology and money to protect vulnerable communities. The diplomat said stronger cooperation between Islamic countries could help everyone face these challenges better.
