means a dwarf goblin whose height on average reaches up to an average person's kneecap. It is used to temporarily grant the material wishes of an end-user after they purchase it from a n'anga ("traditional healer").

Therefore in return for a favor, an end-user will serve this supernatural agency after his or her passing unless they return it. Although in the meantime, an end-user has to continuously delight this spirit (mweya wechikwambo) with constant blood sacrifices and any other contractual obligation (mhiko or chigondiso) so that the goblin's behavior doesn't gradually become brutish towards them.

Sometimes chikwambo comes from other family members in the form of traditional hereditary gifts or in the form of chirasirirwa (when a random person picks it up and touches it out of curiosity).

Note: In most cases, riches acquired via the use of chikwambo will dwindle when the owner dies because all that wealth will be tied to a spiritual pact so it goes with them unless one of their offspring agrees to renew the contract meaning they will accept that chikwambo as a new owner.
