Adani hails Navi Mumbai airport as Bharat symbol

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani described the inauguration of the Navi Mumbai International Airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday as a landmark in India’s economic growth and a reflection of the nation’s ambitions. He thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu, and government officials for their support, while expressing appreciation for the workers and engineers who contributed to the project.

Prime Minister Modi said the airport, designed in the shape of a lotus, represents the vision of a developed India. He noted that it will strengthen Mumbai’s role as a major connectivity hub, ease congestion at the existing international airport, and expand aviation capacity. Modi added that the UDAN scheme has made air travel more accessible, helping millions experience flying for the first time.
