Benue State authorities captured an armed robbery suspect during a nighttime raid in Gboko Local Government Area. Commissioner Ifeanyi Emenari announced that officers detained Liambe Orpine, age 35, at his Gboko East hideout on September 12 around 11pm. Surveillance teams had received intelligence about planned attacks on multiple locations by Orpine's criminal group. The remaining gang members escaped when police arrived at their base. Officers seized one AK-47 rifle, one jack knife, and three homemade Dane guns from the premises.
