Genius Kadungure has opened a new nightclub called Club Sankayi

Zim businessman and socialite Genius "Ginimbi" Kadungure has opened a new nightclub called Club Sankayi which is located at 147 Kwame Nkrumah Street, Harare, Zw. However, Sankayi Lounge which is based in Morningside, Johannesburg wants to sue Ginimbi for using the name "Sankayi" without reaching an agreement to do so.

I would imagine someone like Genius Kadungure would have a panel of advisors to help him in business endeavors. What I am trying to understand here is why would a businessman of Ginimbi's caliber go ahead to use a name that is potentially intellectual property to another corporate entity in South Africa.

@Borrowdale Barron Isn't Genius Kadungure's cousin or sister Marry Chiwenga married to Retired General Constantino Chiwenga so perhaps that's the clout Genius Kadungure is maneuvering his business interests these days. Still, I don't support the move to use other people's intellectual property though.

@Borrowdale Barron, I can foresee Genius Kadungure renaming his club to whatever name he finds fit.

Maybe Genius Kadungure will opt to name his nightclub "Ginimbi Club" or "My Guy Club".

@Lenard Yeah, you are on to something but "Ginimbi Club" sounds so much better than using the name "My Guy Club".
