Hema Malini crash-lands in Karur tragedy row

An eight-member NDA delegation arrived in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday to investigate the stampede that occurred on Sept. 27 at Vijay's rally in Karur. The incident claimed 41 lives and injured more than 60 people. BJP MP Hema Malini led the team that met with affected families, officials, and survivors before preparing a report for party president J.P. Nadda. Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur accompanied the delegation.

The stampede happened when a massive crowd surged forward after Vijay's speech. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced relief measures and compensation for victims. A commission led by retired Justice Aruna Jagadeesan will investigate the tragedy. Vijay pledged Rs 20 lakh to the families of the deceased.
