Mining businessman Delani Moyo came first in the new ZANU-PF Insiza North election. He beat Moses Langa after officials threw out earlier results because of cheating claims. Moyo collected 1588 votes against Langa, who had 1185. The third candidate, Qhubani Moyo, received 837 votes.
The party leaders ordered a fresh vote when people said the first results had been fixed. The earlier count showed Langa with 2478 votes compared to Delani with 1564. Moyo told reporters the voting went well this time without problems. If he wins the main election on June 14, he plans to help the area. His goals focus on clean water projects for locals and better housing for teachers.
