MusicDevelopments just dropped
RapidComposer version 5.4, packing it with features that make working with audio tracks faster and more flexible. Now, you can convert audio directly to MIDI, support a broader range of audio files, and drag-and-drop audio files right into tracks. Workflow has gotten a solid boost too: setting up your composition's structure is now non-destructive, allowing you to experiment without worrying about irreversible changes. This update aims to streamline your creative process, letting you focus on building tracks that flow naturally from idea to execution.

Here's the rundown: You can now turn audio into MIDI, import more file types (like WAV, MP3, and FLAC), and drag them right onto tracks. Quickly swap composition chords with a new link button, or create compositions from progressions with voice leading. Export each phrase as its MIDI file, and get a prompt if an audio/MIDI file is too long for your composition. Handy shortcuts were added for quick conversions, exports, and saving phrases. Structure setup has a new shortcut ("
E"), and you can split phrases along parts. Improved renaming with tokens for chords, lines, and parts. There's a new "
info" button for renaming help and auto/manual options for line names. Behind the scenes: phrase browser updates and bug fixes for smoother use.
