Victoria Mudyanembwa Secures Rhodes Scholarship

Victoria Mudyanembwa has won a big award. She just graduated with top marks in chemistry from the University of Zimbabwe. The award she got is called the Rhodes Scholarship. It means she can go study at Oxford University in England without paying anything.

She's 24 years old and beat many other people to get this special chance. The Rhodes Scholarship picks students from all over the world who do really well in school and show they can be good leaders.

Victoria is very happy about winning. She thanks her family and all the people who helped her get this far. The Rhodes Scholarship started way back in 1903. It's really hard to get—only one person from Zimbabwe was picked this year.

The people who chose Victoria liked how smart she was. They also liked her work with local medicine. She wants to make healthcare better and easier for people to get.

Mr Dalumuzi Mhlanga helps run the Rhodes program in Zimbabwe. He says Victoria shows how many smart young people come from Zimbabwe. He hopes other students will try hard to win this award, too.

Victoria has big plans for her time at Oxford. She wants to study how new technology can improve medicine, and she's really interested in ensuring that local medicine is safe for people to use.

She can't wait to meet other smart people at Oxford. Victoria wants to learn new things and help make the world better, and she thinks studying there will help her do that.
