Warisan's 'Save Sabah' manifesto promises bold reforms

Parti Warisan leader Shafie Apdal has proposed restoring independent state oversight of education and healthcare systems while developing distinct economic strategies for each administrative district across Sabah. The opposition figure outlined plans for a railway infrastructure linking northern ports to agricultural regions during a campaign event in Penampang, framing the platform as unfinished work from his brief term as chief minister.

The platform divides the territory into five zones with specialized industries ranging from latex manufacturing in Beaufort to pearl cultivation in Semporna, supported by hydroelectric facilities on major rivers. Shafie emphasized that securing enhanced revenue allocation from federal authorities would allow residents, rather than external officials, to determine development priorities.

The party fields candidates in all 73 constituencies ahead of the approaching vote.
