Zims Baby Warriors Ready to Crush COSAFA

Simon Marange will lead Zimbabwe's team at the 2025 COSAFA Cup tournament. He coaches the Warriors as a stand-in because Michael Nees cannot attend. Marange picked mostly young players under 20 years old for his squad. The team also has a few older players like goalkeeper Martin Mapisa and Andrew Mbeba. The average age across all players is 21 years old.

The Warriors play their first match against Mauritius on Wednesday at 6 PM CAT. Marange wants to help young players grow and learn how to compete. He believes giving them chances helps them move forward with their careers. The coach thinks these players can join teams around the world if they perform well. This tournament gives them a chance to show what they can do.

Marange said the team will try to win every game they play. He knows there will be pressure and challenges during the tournament. The coach thinks competition helps young players develop better skills. He wants his players to take responsibility for their performance on the field. Zimbabwe has the youngest squad among all teams at this tournament.
