That's because most people prefer to listen to American Hip Hop than to listen to Zim Hip Hop and that right there streamlines the fan base which would have otherwise been supporting Zim Hip Hop.

Another thing is that Zimdancehall has a huge fan base due to the support which comes from the ghetto communities and the numerous live shows that they do.

Even if you were to compare Zim Hip Hop and Zimdancehall artists you will notice that Zimdancehall artists have more clout.
